“Last Night at the Jetty” from Panda Bear’s forthcoming album, Tomboy. Tomboy, to be released April 12 on Noah Lennox’s own Paw Tracks imprint, is the Animal Collective member and neo-psych icon’s fourth solo full-length. This track features all the characteristic Panda Bear tricks, from alternatingly sparse and ethereal arrangements to keen, reverb-saturated harmonies and simple but playful rhythmic tricks. It also has what Lennox is best at: earwig-like brain-burrowing melodies that swirl around in your dome like brandy in your fancy grandpa’s snifter. Enjoy.
