A Record A Day: Peeping New Albums on the Daily

Between June of 2009 and July of 2010, I — a music writer by the name of D. Patrick Rodgers — attempted to narrow the gaps in my knowledge by listening to three-hundred-sixty-five (365) records in as many days. Said records may or may not have been new to the world, but they were, without exception, new to me.

Weezer to break up for $10 million? James Burns starts online fundraiser to make group disband

Awesome.

I appreciate the idea — I certainly appreciate founder James Burns’ sense of satire. I can say that I’ve been burned by their shittiness myself. But I think I might have a better idea: Stop buying their albums, and instead donate your $15.99 to a worthy charity. Do you really want to reward these people with another $10 million?
