A Record A Day: Peeping New Albums on the Daily

Between June of 2009 and July of 2010, I — a music writer by the name of D. Patrick Rodgers — attempted to narrow the gaps in my knowledge by listening to three-hundred-sixty-five (365) records in as many days. Said records may or may not have been new to the world, but they were, without exception, new to me.

Five of the most epic minutes of footage in the history of popular music. This has been floating around the web for a hot minute and a half, but after a dream I had last night — in which I performed Prince’s “When You Were Mine” — I felt this made for some appropriate viewing.
